We remember Betty Mulder as one of the kindest and hardest workers within the United Church and within the Waterford community. She was always involved in various committees in order to help others in many ways. She will be missed by all who have worked and played with Betty throughout her lifetime. Our condolences to Betty's extended family and her many friends.

Betty was one of the first people to welcome my husband and me to Waterford when we moved here from Brantford in 2002. She shared information about the town and was one of those who made us feel at home at Waterford United Church. She contributed so much in her tireless effort at coffee hour, meals and more throughout the years. We often shared stories about our cats at the farm and after she moved in town. Her greeting cards for various birthdays, anniversaries and illnesses in the church congregation and community were timely and plentiful. Betty's presence will be missed.

Betty was one of a group of intelligent, organized and hard working women that I looked up to and admired when we came to Waterford United church. I remember she often brought a partly finished hand project to work on while she took part in a church meeting. Years ago in the fall, giant jars of cucumber pickles would arrive from her house. She organized, served and cleaned up after Sunday coffee hour for many years. Our thoughts and prayers are with Betty's family and we send our sincere sympathy. Barb and Gray Stewardson

What a great picture of Betty in the church kitchen. Everyone that knew Betty, knows how much she contributed to not only the church but the whole community with her commitment to organizing church suppers, coffee hours and other church events. We will all remember Betty's life of giving.

My condolences to the family. Batty was a wonderful lady and neighbor. I enjoyed the conversations we had and seeing her walking about the property. Every so often a treat would be given to her of chocolate which I know she loved. Dian Landry.
