Obituary of JENNIFER YOUNG

Jennifer passed away peacefully in Toronto, on Sunday February 23, 2025. 

Jennifer grew up in Waterford before moving to Toronto as a young woman where she resided until her death.  Jennifer was a kind, caring and generous woman who loved her family dearly, and took a special interest in her eight nephews and nieces. 

She loved the arts and dabbled in painting, doll making, as well as many other creative pursuits.  Jennifer worked in retail for many years and especially enjoyed her time working at the York University Bookstore. 

Jennifer was predeceased by her parents Mervyn and Ruth Young and her brother Rocklyn Young.

Jennifer leaves behind her sister, Brenda Castle-Young, her brother Hilary Young and her sister-in-law Deborah Young.  She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Stephen, Gregory and Thomas Castagnola; Sherry Young and Sean Young, and Erin Tomlinson, Andrew Young and Rizz Young; as well as 2 great nephews and one great niece.

She will be missed by several great neices, nephwes, cousins, lifelong friends, and by her best friend George Lee.

Her family is grateful that Jennifer had strong faith and know she is now at peace.

Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to Waterford and District Foodbank.
