Helen was one of the finest Christian women I knew. I remember especially attending Pioneer Girls at Boston Baptist Church where she would so graciously love us girls and teach us the Bible. I remember many times my mom taking me to Helen's to get my hair done. So thankful for those times. Remembering Helen fondly....Carolyn Berkel

The secret back ally in the big yellow car. You had me convinced no one knew about it. You brought peace and happiness to my otherwise absue filled childhood. You where my Angel then, now and forever. I love you Baba.

Dear Linda, Terry, Jaimie and family, our hearts are heavy for you as you process a new future without your treasured Mom and Baba, and yet, we fully anticipate enjoying her company again in Glory. Visiting with her last summer was so sweet. She was always so inviting in her calm, matter of fact way. She was marvelous at conversation, which I believe was fostered by her love of reading. I still recall her propped up in her bed on the Bowen farm, comfortably surrounded by books - she seemed to devour them. Although most Boston folks were familiar with her hairdressing skills, I once took my Dedo's hair clippers to my own bangs and then tried to lay the blame for my rough zig zag style on Aunt Helen, saying "That's the way she cut them". I was dumbfounded when no one believed me! We are thankful for the warm memories we have of her and will cherish them always.

Linda and family, our sincere condolences on the passing of your dear mum and Baba. Such a lovely lady of faith. So glad we got to meet her & your dad. Took this picture during a wonderful visit with dear friend, Linda, a number of years ago. Praying for you all, but we know she's in a much better place in the presence of her Saviour!

While it is with sadness that we heard of Helen's passing, we know she is now enjoying Glory, having placed her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Helen was always thoughtful and very engaging. Whether it was baking pie (for someone else), managing a field of strawberry pickers, growing that amazing flower garden, or just a plain family fun time, her presence and participation was infused with enthusiam and helpful care and concern. We miss her greatly. May her family cherish those many memorable experiences.

Linda and family - I do remember getting off school bus at your Mom's place in Boston - hair appointment right after school. Also remember her rose gardens - they were beautiful! Always enjoyed talking with your Mom. Rest in peace, Mrs. Bowen. Treasure those memories in a special spot. Condolences to all the family.
With sincere sympathy, Christine Carroll
