Obituary of CLAYTON GEORGE KEMP

KEMP, Clayton George – Surrounded by his family at Norfolk General Hospital on Wednesday April 9, 2025 of Waterford in his 87^th year.  Beloved husband for 61 years to Dolores (Scott).  Loving father of Scott (and Linda), Cindy (and Richard) Wonzo.  Proud Pa of Melissa, and DJ.  Clayt will also be missed by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Predeceased by parents John and Muriel Kemp, brother Russell (and Donna) Kemp.  Clayt was a longtime member and Deacon at Bloomsburg Baptist Church.  Clayt worked for many years as a mechanic and service manager for Chuli’s in Waterford.  Clayt will be fondly remembered by many men and women for all his years coaching baseball and hockey.  Family and friends will be received at Thompson-Mott Funeral Home, Waterford on Wednesday April 23, 2025, from 12:30 until the service time at 2:30pm.  Rev. Allan Burr officiating.  Interment Waterford Greenwood Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bloomsburg Baptist Church in memory of Clayt.
