What fond memories I have of you Aunt Peggy throughout my life, where does a niece even start.
Throughout my childhood you and your siblings held things together so us cousins could spend special holidays together with family and create ever lasting momories. These memories I will cherish for a lifetime.
While you lived an adventurous life you welcomed us along the way and I'm grateful for these memories too. Whether it was up North in your log cabin you shared with Rick or the land Grampa bought and built his log cabin on you were there to invite us along and created great family history. I remember working with you in your chip wagon while you showed me what an entrepreneur can accomplish with a dream and teaching me about great customer service.
You met many friends throughout your life that I'm sure would also agree your kindness and outgoing nature brought many smiles along your path.
You worked at Breyers for many year once you returned to Waterford and likely knew many of the workers there while you sat on the health and safety board and gave your time as a union representative making change for your fellow workers.
I will never forget the Waterford Pumpkin fest house decorating contest which you were always so eager to participate in and even won a few year too. Your home was a safe place for me and I always enjoyed popping in and saying hello when I passed through Waterford or stopping by just to say hello and catch up on life.
While your dreams to retire up north were cut short with a stroke I cherish the time we had once you returned to Southern Ontario. While life got harder you still fought as you always did and just wanted to do anything possible to get back to your old self and enjoy life on your own terms.
Losing an aunt is never easy but losing an aunt that you cared so much about is even harder. May you rest in peace Aunt Peggy. Say hello to Grandpa and the rest of our loved ones. Until we meet again ♡

I have always loved Peggy. When she injured her hand at work, I called her "One Paw". Every time that I saw her smile, I wondered what was coming up next ... I really enjoyed her spirit inside of work and outside of work. She was one of a kind! The angels have their hands full, now.

I'm still in shock about this. What an experience we received knowing such a beautiful person. She stood her ground whenever she felt that she was right....even if she was wrong....lol. She spoke her mind. You always knew what she thought. She enjoyed making people laugh. And yes ... they are the best peaches ever! That trip together with her was lots of laughs. When she left the factory, it never was quite the same. She would sing birthday wishes to everyone. She was told not to sing over the PA, but she did anyway. You will be missed by so many. The stories are countless. You have touched so many hearts. Rest in peace, beautiful.

Peggy was one of a kind. She had so much spirit and so much love! To know Peggy was to love her. We laughed...we cried...we laughed again! She went above and beyond and then she would even still keep trying. You would never tell her that she couldn't do something. If you did, she would do it just to show you that she could! She showed me where to buy my peaches. They are the best in Southern Ontario! Rest easy, my friend.

It was easy to love Peggy. She had a genuine smile, a big warm heart and a fabulous sense of humour. She was a good friend who always listened to your whole story without interruption and made you feel like you were the most interesting person she’d ever met. No one who ever got to know Peggy will be able to forget her.

Q: What was one of the qualities of Peggy that you loved most?
A: Peggy was one of the most generous persons knew. Before moving up to Norfolk, Peggy always welcomed me into her home and made me feel comfortable, every time I visited. After I moved here, she always open her door to me and if I needed anything, I knew she would help if it was in her power.
During a move, Peggy insisted that I take her truck and do whatever I needed to do. This was the first time I drove a truck and although she knew this she trusted me drive her only mode of transportation.
Before she moved up north we spent most weeks having tea at my house, with some gluten free sweet treats and humorous conversations.
I will miss you mom.

Rest in Peace, Peggy
Though we only knew each other for a short time, you left such a lasting impression on all of us. Thanks to Kelly for introducing us - those fire nights won’t be the same without your laughter and that wonderful personality that could light up any evening. You had a gift for bringing joy to everyone around you, and we feel so fortunate to have shared those moments with you.
Fly high, Peggy. Heaven just gained the most joyful angel, and we know you’re already making everyone up there smile just like you did for us down here.
You’ll be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Thank you for the memories and the laughter. Until we meet again around another fire.
