Colby and I send our deepest condolences to each of you. Some of my fondest childhood memories were spending so many fun days in your home. Star was like a second Dad to me and always greeted me with a big bear hug. He loved life , but loved his kids more.

Q: How did you meet Bernard?
A: Star was always the big kid that little kids looked up to. He and other kids in the Rockford community all attended a one-room school house and became very close. In my early years Isobel and Donna were the senior class that looked after the younger grades while the teacher was busy and Star was the high school hero. Always a great guy and wonderful memory from the Rockford years.
I am so sorry to hear of Stars passing. My condolences to all of your family. I will always remember sitting around your kitchen table with Rick and Lloyd and I hope they are all together again laughing and telling stories.
