Dear Tiffany and Jennifer,
I just read about your father's passing. I extend my deepest condolences to you and your families. Your father was a kind, friendly man who always greeted me with a warm smile and engaged in a little chat when we would see each other in the community.
May God grant you peace, comfort, and strength as you journey on without him!
With sincere condolences,
Mary Pearce (your Grade 1 teacher at Boston Public School)

Q: What will you never forget about Charles?
A: As a teen, Charlie loved to roller skate, which he was very good at! One of the things he used to do was race up behind me and holler hey cuz what’s up, while executing a perfect to to backwards and then back frontwards laughing the whole time while searching for the next person he was going to approach! He was always smiling and laughing and enjoyed life. He was a happy person!!

I remember when I first moved out to Ontario for school and we stayed over at uncle Charlie's ( i think it was Easter or Thanksgiving) and he came home after doing an errand and looked at me and said "you locked me in my house! You locked the screen door and the deadbolt" I was so used to the city that I wasn't used to small town living and not having to lock doors.

My Uncle Charlie was definitely one of a kind, loved my cousins Tiffany and Jen so much, and his beautiful grandchildren, he spoke so highly of them all of the time. I have so many fond memories of him and was so lucky to have him as my uncle. Thank you Uncle Charlie for always lending a ear to listen and for being grandpa Barnes 2.0 so we never forgot him either. I will miss you and will miss you so much ❤️
