Obituary of Marie Agnes Flood

FLOOD – Marie Agnes passed away peacefully with her family at her side at the Delhi Long Term Care Centre on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the age of 77.  Loving companion of 34 years to Roy Campbell.  Marie is survived by her son Flash Eastman-Flood; grandchildren Liam (Leanne), Mary and Hope; siblings Ellen Krentz (Wayne) and Bob Smith; nieces and nephews Teresa Smith (Jonathan Matthews), Amy Sellar (Matt) Heather Smith (George Goff), Bruce Goodwin, Wray Goodwin (Mel), Richard Smith, Douglas Smith, Ashley Smith and Brandon Smith.  Predeceased by parents Bruce and Dorothy Smith, brother Doug Smith and nephew Nathan Smith.  Marie was an elementary school teacher (GEDSB) since 1969 and retired in 2004.  She was very active in the community as a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Waterford Branch #123 since 1974, Waterford volunteer fire department Ladies Auxiliary for several years, served on the board of directors for Big Brothers & Big Sisters Association of Haldimand-Norfolk and volunteered as a tutor for the Haldimand-Norfolk Literacy Council.  Visitation will be held at the Thompson Mott Funeral Home, 62 Main Street N, P.O. Box 70, Waterford, ON (519-443-5332) on Monday, October 6, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel.  A private interment of ashes will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford at a later date.  If desired, donations to the Campfire Circle Rainbow Lake or the Ladies Auxiliary Branch 123 Waterford would be appreciated.  Personalized condolences can be made online at www.thompsonmottfuneralhome.com
