He was a much loved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.  Dear husband of Winnifred Shirley Kay Snively (Winnie) for 66 years.  Loving father of Suzanne Cronkwright, and Darryl (Michele) Snively.  Gord was the oldest remaining member in his family and his remaining family members include Archie (Mary Lou), Garnet (Valerie), Linda (Dante deceased), Marlene (Pat deceased). He had two grandchildren Brody and Aleni and one great-grandson Deacon.  He has several nieces and nephews.  Gord lived in Waterford before moving to Simcoe several years ago.  Gord's last job was with the Ministry of Natural Resources St. Williams, Ont. where he was able to tackle any job... making several machines to do the many jobs that was needed done.  Gord's passion was hunting deer and moose from his camps in Haliburton and Cockburn Island.  His many hunting buddies were always ready to talk about their hunts over and over again.  His other passion was growing plants.  His little greenhouse was always full of many, many different kinds of plants in the spring.  He gave many away and really enjoyed doing that.  Everyone in the neighbourhood got one of his easter egg plants each year.  He was a member of the Colborne Village United Church in Simcoe.  You may be gone Gord but you'll never be forgotten.  Visitation will be held at the Thompson Mott Funeral Home, 62 Main Street N, Waterford, ON (519-443-5332) on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
