Obituary of Denis Paquette

PAQUETTE – Joseph Denis Ernest passed peacefully surrounded by his family at the Norfolk General Hospital on Thursday, January 15, 2026 in his 78^th year.  Denis is survived by his loving and devoted wife Gloria Paquette (nee. Newton) of 35+ years.  Beloved father of Tammy Ruberto (Tony), Marlene Paquette, Michelle Hare (Hans), Kareen Wilkinson (Timothy), Angela Emery (Todd), and Kris Wilkinson (Lisa); proud pappa to Joseph, Julia, Sharla, Kalina, Mackenzie, Clayton, Molly, Jack, Abby, Michael, and Ella; great pappa to Pippin.  Denis will be missed by siblings Fern, Butch, Robert, Carmen, Louise and Alice.  Predeceased by his mother Marie Ann Paquette (nee. Fillion) and his grandson Kyle Paquette.  Arrangements entrusted to the Thompson Mott Funeral Home, 62 Main Street N, Waterford (519-443-5332).  A memorial mass will be held at St Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, 165 Thompson Rd, Waterford on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at 12:00 p.m.  A celebration of life will be held after the memorial mass at the Royal Canadian Legion Waterford Branch 123, 223 Nichol St W, Waterford at 1:00 p.m. with a Masonic Service held at 1:30 p.m.  If desired, donations to Ronald McDonald House South Central Ontario would be appreciated.  Personal online condolences can be made at www.thompsonmottfuneralhome.com
