Obituary of Jean Onifrichuk

ONIFRICHUK, Doris Jean (nee. Collins) – It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Jean at peopleCare Delhi Long-Term Care on Thursday, February 19, 2026 in her 98th year.   She was a lifelong resident of Waterford working in various jobs and ending in the Waterford Post Office.  Jean had a great passion for playing the piano and painting.  She enjoyed her many friends and laughing with them.  She will be missed.  Beloved wife of the late Robert “Bob” Onifrichuk (2017).  Loving mother of Larry (Peggy), Roger (Debbie), Brian (Pam); proud grandma of Ryan (Laura), Simon (Liz), Laura (Jon), Nathan (Maria), Bradley, Sarah (Jack), Emma and Lily; 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her two brothers Bob Collins and Bill Collins.  Arrangements entrusted to the Thompson Mott Funeral Home, 62 Main Street N, Box 70, Waterford, ON (519-443-5332).  A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Waterford Greenwood Cemetery, 611 Thompson Road E, Waterford.  Family and friends are invited after the graveside service to the Waterford Legion Branch 123, 223 Nichol St W, Waterford for a small luncheon to visit and celebrate Jean’s life.  Personal online condolences can be made at www.thompsonmottfuneralhome.com
