I’m so sorry to learn of Debbie’s passing. I first met Debbie when she attended the inaugural meeting of 100 Women Who Care Haldimand. Her love and dedication to the community always showed at our meetings. She asked fair questions and was always so supportive of our group. She will be missed.

Cheryle will miss her old neighbour who "was always fun to see". I will miss her quick wit when I picked up take-out at the Springvale Church.

So deeply sorry to hear of the loss of Debbie. We have so many wonderful memories of Debbie through Springvale United Church and the community. Her presence was always larger than life itself and one always knew when Debbie was in the room! That is one of the very many things we loved about Debbie. Her kindness, her smile, her laughter, her insight. A beautiful soul inside and out. She loved and nurtured her family with such grace and was always quick to tell you the updates on Kristine and NIcole. She will be greatly missed. Soar high Debbie and spread your angel wings wide. Much love to Peter, Nicole and Kristine and families.

My deepest condolences to the family. I have done the fish dinner fundraiser at springville church with her many times. Was always very thankful for her help at this function. She was a strong personality which helped make my job easier. We would joke about things but she was always there to get the job done. I will be thinking about the family at this time and hoping you always remember the good times. Darlene Lancaster {D&DS}

Please accept my condolences for your loss. I attended my first Walpole North PTA meeting at your home and learned how things should be done and yes there was a delicious dessert served by Debbie. Over the years we would run into each other, maybe in a store or at the Cove Room Auction and catch up on family. In recent years she came for tea when we worked on a community project. I always enjoyed those visits, appreciating Debbie's sense of humour and direct approach. She will be fondly remembered.
Sincerely,
Ann McBride

I feel lucky to have so many great memories of Debbie to keep with me. I remember that we would always stop in to see Debbie at work in the Post Office in town. She was ready for a hug and a hello, with lively chat every time. She went out of her way to ask how things were going and make a personal connection so that you knew she was thinking about you. That caring nature came through so genuinely, along with her quick wit, and ability to tell a great story. We left those visits so much better than when we arrived.
I’m grateful to have grown up with the Kozicki family and had the chance to know Debbie, to have traveled with her, and learned how to design a great spread of food- she really knew how to whip up a veggie tray in a moment’s notice!
Being so active in the community, Debbie’s passing is surely felt widely. This also means that there are a great many people with their own happy Debbie memories and stories to share and to keep sharing. A sign of a life lived with love.

Growing up friends with Kristine and Nicole meant I got to experience the warmth, hilarity, and downright chaos that was Debbie Kozicki. She was a force of a woman, and I am so lucky to have gotten the chance to learn from her throughout most of my life.
I have many fond memories of Debbie but my favourite was when she dressed as Mimi from The Drew Carey show for Halloween. I think she came to our high school dressed up, but I can't remember why. Probably just dropped in to be hilarious. That would be very Debbie. She cracked us up, like she always did, imitating Mimi and being generally loud and boisterous.
She was always a show stealer, and we loved her for it.
She will be dearly missed, and I know that every story about her will be told with a smile.
Oh, and the right way to cook an onion is whatever The Deb said. You just didn't doubt her.

To the Kozicki & Auger Families, Please accept my sincere condolences in the loss of Debbie. I've known Debbie since HIgh School, many years ago. We reconnected when our daughters, Kristine & Toni, met and became close friends, two members of their Core Four, in High School, the same High School (Hagersville Secondary) where Debbie & I met all those years ago. We became part of the Core Four Parents. I will cherish my memories of those times together. Sandra
