Obituary of Ben Dugas

DUGAS – Benjamin “Ben” Albert passed away peacefully with his wife at his side at the Stedman Hospice on Friday, March 6, 2026 at the age of 40.  Ben is survived by his loving wife Vanessa Dugas (nee. Tyrell); daughter Alexis; parents Al and Deanna Dugas; brother Adam Dugas; aunts and uncles Darlene and John Choma and Jack and Nancy Anderson; and by many extended family and friends.  Ben grew up in Waterford and was very well known to everyone.  He worked as a shift manager at Stelco Steel Lake Erie Works on the pickle lines.  Outside of work, he was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.  He also enjoyed sports and spent many years playing darts, hockey and baseball.  Visitations will be held at the Thompson Mott Funeral Home, 62 Main Street N, Box 70, Waterford (519-443-5332) on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  A memorial service will be held at Hope for Today Church, 73 Main Street South, Waterford on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
