I will never forget all the great memories from when we were kids visiting; playing hide and seek in the cornfields, getting candy at the corner store, and Uncle Wayne coming in the bedroom at night to tell us to quiet down and go to bed.
The family reunions and even their leisurely drives North, taking back roads to come visit us. You will truly be missed, Uncle Wayne. Love always, Amanda, Jesse and the boys. xoxo

Dear Family. Distant cousins are connected through wonderful memories. Long lost days when we were in each other's company over a holiday or summer vacations when the Grays would travel to Manitoba. Mom would receive lovely long letters from Aunt Trudy telling wonderful tales. Wayne's stories were always kind and gentle, filled with pride of their boy. Our age difference meant he had already graduated to the big table when us kids were all together. It also means my memories are faint but no less loving for him. My deepest sympathies for the loss of a great older brother to you Marlaine and Greg. I can imagine the ache in your hearts. I was grateful to hear that you were all able to spend time together over those precious last days. May your memories bring you peace and may the sharing of your brother's story bring you joy in a life well lived. Sending our love and sympathy to each of you. Love Dale and family.

There are so many “ tales”I could share about Wayne in light of the fact that we met each other when we were both 10 years old.Today all I will say is over those 70 years I was blessed and honoured to have aTRUE, TRUSTED AND RELIABLE FRIEND in every sense of the word. Rest in peace my friend and may God bless you forever.

Dearest Karen, Jennifer, Chris and families,
Wayne was one of the first ( if not the first) friends that Bill introduced me to from his ‘ Ancaster days’ 63 years ago. As a couple, Bill and I have been blest with Wayne’s friendship since then. That friendship has been extraordinarily precious to us ever since. He was always so very welcoming and inclusive as well as generous to a fault with his time and knowledge and above all else, with his love- for his family and for us. Although I will be unable to physically attend his Celebration of Life on April 11, know I will be there in spirit, hugging you with love, prayers and immeasurably precious memories of your husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, acquaintance- and my friend, Wayne!
Love always, Maureen

Dear Karen and family,
I was shocked to hear of Wayne's passing today. I am very sorry that this has occurred. I remember the wonderful visit I had with you both in the fall and was hoping to see you again in April when the weather had improved. Wayne warmly welcomed me into your home for a drop-in visit. Sadly, I won't see Wayne again when I visit you, Karen, the next time.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. May God grant you peace, comfort, and strength during this difficult time of bereavement.
With sincere sympathy,
Mary Pearce
