Obituary of Daniel John Slawich

SLAWICH – Daniel John passed away peacefully with family at his side at St. Peter’s Hospital, Hamilton on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at the age of 68.  Beloved husband of Barbara Slawich (nee. Waugh).  Dan is survived by children Brenna Slawich, Chris Slawich and Matt Slawich (Kaitie Stewart); adopted grandchild Brayden and foster grandchildren Ariyah and DJ; mother Bev Slawich (late Walter); siblings Jim Slawich (Victoria), Dave Slawich (Judy), Chuck Slawich (Vanessa), Bob Slawich (Rose), Kevin Slawich (Sherry), Mark Slawich (Val), Heather Grosse (Phil) and Steve Slawich(Debra); and many well-loved nieces and nephews.  A celebration of life will be held at the Thompson Mott Funeral Home, 62 Main Street N, Box 70, Waterford (519-443-5332) on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.  A private interment of ashes to be held at a later date.  If desired, donations to Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation or the Norfolk - Haldimand Community Hospice.  Personal online condolences can be made at www.thompsonmottfuneralhome.com
