Obituary of Brian George Dredge

Please share a memory of Brian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

DREDGE - Brian George, It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Brian with his family by his side on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at the Stedman Hospice, Hankinson House, Brantford in his 73rd year.  Beloved husband of Lynne for 51 loving years.  Devoted Father to Janine, Kristi and Father-In-Law to Steve.  Proud Poppa to Sierra, who was the apple of his eye.  Dearest brother to Diana, Sheila, and brother-in-law to Ken.  Predeceased by his parents George and Marjorie Dredge and In-laws Lester and Sheila Bauer.  Brian will be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  Brian was a long time employee of Norfolk County, maintaining their fleet as a Mechanic.  Even after retirement he looked forward to and enjoyed his Timmies coffee and visits with his former co-workers who became family.  He loved the outdoors, teaching his girls to fish, hunt and garden.  Brian was a talented woodworker, always building new projects starting with their family home 50 years ago.  The family will receive friends and family at Thompson Mott Funeral Home, 62 Main Street N, Box 70, Waterford (519-443-5332) on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. with Jason Holdsworth officiating.  Interment at Waterford Greenwood Cemetery.  Donations may be made in Brian's memory to The Cancer Support & Resource Program of Norfolk (CSRP) or South Coast Community Caring for Cancer.  Personal online condolences can be made at www.thompsonmottfuneralhome.com
