Obituary of Shayla Sipila

SIPILA - Shayla (Sheila) Karen passed away peacefully with family and caretakers at Sakura House, Woodstock, on June 19, 2026 at the age of 72.  Shayla is survived by her sons Paul Michael (Kelly), Steven (Brittany), Cameron (Tori), and Glen (Grace); grandchildren Daniel (Ariel), Cohen, Chase, Reylyn, Ren, Caleb, and Logan; brothers Seppo, Pentti (Susan), and Paul.  She is predeceased by her parents Kirsti and Reino.  Shayla knew from an early age that her gifts to the world would be musical and filled her time adoringly caring for the birds by her window.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  May she bring music to the heavens and let echoes of her songs be brought to our windows by the songbirds of the new day.  Arrangements entrusted to the Thompson Mott Funeral Home, 62 Main Street N, Box 70, Waterford (519-443-5332).  A memorial service will be held at Mt. Elgin United Church, 324105 Mt Elgin Rd, Mount Elgin, ON on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow in Waterford Greenwood Cemetery.  If desired, donations to Canadian Lung Association, Mt.
