Obituary of Roberta Little

LITTLE – Amy Roberta (nee. Cairns) of Waterford passed away peacefully with family at her side at her home on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at the age of 87.  Roberta is reunited in heaven with her husband Donald Little (2004).  Survived by children Grant Little (Anne Craddock) and Ross Little (Heather)(nee. Hewitt); grandchildren Jenna Little (Robert Wienhold), Devon Little (Kayla Doherty), Emily Little, Ethan Little and Jillian Little; great granddaughter Adalyn; sister-in-law Beverley Cairns and by many nieces, nephews and extended family.  Predeceased by her son Dale Little; siblings Marjorie Suitor (late William) and Albert Cairns.  Named after her grandmother Amy but always going by Roberta or Aunt Bertie to her nieces and nephews, she was born at home at the farm on Ives Hill, Quebec on May 13, 1939 to Mildred and Stewart Cairns.  After high school Roberta worked as a teller at the bank in Lennoxville.  On June 6, 1959, Roberta was married to Donald Little of North Hatley.  Once children came Roberta worked with Donald running Little’s Welding.  Roberta along with Donald were active members of the Massawippi Valley Snowmobile Club, riding Johnson and Snow Cruiser snowmobiles before selling Polaris machines at their shop until they moved to Ontario in 1978.  Mom lived in the same house as a homemaker from 1978 until her passing, tending to her shrubs, gardens and doing puzzles and crafts in later years.  Visitation will be held at the Thompson Mott Funeral Home, 62 Main Street N, Box 70, Waterford (519-443-5332) on Friday, July 3, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service held in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Rev.
