Obituary of Carolyn June Jopko

JOPKO – Carolyn June (nee. Cowan) passed away unexpectedly with family at her side at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Toronto on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at the age of 83.  Carolyn is survived by her loving husband Anton Jopko of 50+ years.  Beloved mother of children Adam Jopko (Wendy), Brandon Jopko (Tehmina) and Erin Jopko; Baba of Lucy and Lyle.  Carolyn will be missed by her siblings Bill Cowan (Sue) and Warren Cowan; sister-in-law Jeannette Major (late Steve) and by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Predeceased by parents Garnet and Kate Cowan and sister Norma (John Rouse).  Visitation will be held at the Thompson Mott Funeral Home, 62 Main Street N, Box 70, Waterford (519-443-5332) on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 94 Main St S, Hagersville.  Interment of ashes in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.  If desired, donations to Simcoe and District Humane Society or the Heart and Stoke Foundation.  Personal online condolences can be made at www.thompsonmottfuneralhome.com
