Obituary of Marguerite Cecilia Vanhooren

VANHOOREN – Marguerite Cecilia (nee. Anseeuw) passed away peacefully with family at her side at the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home on Monday, August 31, 2026 at the age of 91.  Marguerite is reunited in heaven with her husband Jerome Vanhooren (2008).  Survived by sons Brian Vanhooren (Cathy Field), Ed Vanhooren (Sue), and Marcel Vanhooren; grandchildren Taylor Vanhooren (Matthew Howes), Bradley Vanhooren (Samantha), Christopher Vanhooren (Rachel Halter), Kyle Vanhooren (Laura Mitchell) and Shanaya Riddell (Justin); great grandchildren Clara and Calvin; sibling-in-laws Maria Geysens (late Gaston), Godelieve Nolf (late Andy), Willy Vanhooren (Susan), Irene Gubesch (late Martin) and Marcel Vanhooren (late Darlene); and many nieces, nephews and family.  Predeceased by sister Mary Hiemstra (late Gerry).  Visitation will be held at the Thompson Mott Funeral Home, 62 Main Street N, Box 70, Waterford (519-443-5332) on Friday, September 4, 2026 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow in the chapel at 11:00 a.m.  Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.  If desired, donations to Alzheimer Society of Haldimand Norfolk or the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home.  Personal online condolences can be made at www.thompsonmottfuneralhome.com
