Verhegghe, Leon R.; At the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, Saturday August 2, 2003, of RR#1 Windham Centre in his 79th year. Loving husband of Elsie (Defreyne) for 54 years. Proud father of Lonnie & Donna of Norwich; Larry of Windham Centre. Cherished grandpa of Angela & Michel Godelie, & great grandsons Brennon & Donovan. Leon was a life member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 123, President from 1989-1993, & Zone Commander of District B1. Friends may be received at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of a Christian Burial Wednesday at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish at 11 am. Fr. Jim Dunne officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Legion Service Tuesday 6:30pm & Parish Prayers Tuesday 8:30pm In lieu of flowers donations to Waterford Camp Trillium would be appreciated by the family.
