KORCZAK, John; Peacefully at sunrise with the love of his family at Norfolk General Hospital on Thursday April 5, 2012, in his 89th year. Beloved husband to the love of his life for 68 years, Apolonia (Polly). Devoted father of Raymond (and MaryAnne), Larry (and Patti), Joe, Eva (and Chuck) Vezsenyi. Proud Dziadek of Christopher (and Anne), Greg (and Eileen), Ryan; John (and Natalie), David (and Shannon), Philip (and Pam), Michael (and Abby); Rebecca (and Joe), Sarah (and Martin), Joshua, Jessica; and great grandchildren Eric, Kate; Niamh, Maisie; James, Elizabeth; Brennan, Caitlin, Allison; Gracie, Brandon; and one more on the way for Phil and Pam. Dear brother of Margaret Jasinski, Jean (and Stan) Warda, Kazimer (and Eva) and sister-in-law Mary Korczak. Predeceased by brothers Henry, and Charlie. John is a retired tobacco farmer from the Waterford area. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford, Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish Tuesday at 10am. Fr. Alan Dufraimont officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Parish Prayers Monday at 7:30pm. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Norfolk General Hospital Foundation or charity of choice.
