WILLATT, Lyla Martha Jane; nee Herriman - at Norfolk General Hospital on Monday, February 7, 2011 of 118 Powerline Rd. Brantford in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late George Willatt (1998). Dear mother of Joy (Don) Lefler, Brantford; Jim (Mary) Willatt, Onoway, Alberta; Kathy (Gerald) Allard, Brantford; Wendy (Robert) Chambers, Waterford; (Karen)(Willatt) Simon, Waterford. Also survived by 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lyla was predeceased by daughter Jo-Ann (1948), son Norman (1996), grandsons Gordon Chambers (1981) and Kevin Allard (1996). Lyla was an Associate member of Bloomsburg Baptist Church; a member of South Brant Legion #463 as well as the Legion's Ladies Auxiliary, Branch #123, and a member of ANAF #341. She was an avid euchre, cribbage and dart player. Friends may call at THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford on Thurs. Feb. 10/11, 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Legion service 6:30 pm.. Funeral service to be held in Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 pm on Fri. Feb. 11/11. Officiated by Rev. Eleanor J.F. Emmott. Interment following the service at Bloomsburg Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial donations to Bloomsburg Baptist Church or to Camp Trillium Rainbow Lake would be appreciated by the family.
