While I never had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Glover, we were 'connected.'
My late father, Doug Fleming, was a close high school chum of Murray Glover, and only after years of Dr. Rod's wonderful care of our family did we discover that connection. Every time we visited Rod in his office, there would always be conversation about his Mum, and all the remarkable things she was doing. My own late mother remembered meeting Murray's wife, on the farm. Murray told my mother and father that he had doubted whether he would find a woman who was willing to live on the farm, as his wife.
Clearly he did, and a remarkable woman she was.

It was with deep regret and sadness that I heard of Jean's passing.
Jean was a staunch defender of her country both as a veteran of World War Two and also in peace time opposing the imposition of the "free trade" agreement with the US.
Jean was both a mentor to, and an unwavering supporter of, the battle to maintain our country's sovereignty and independence. She and her example to us all will be deeply missed.

Am so very sorry to learn of Jean's passing. We were neighbors in Dundurn, the first few years of my childhood. Her son, Doug & I used to sometimes play together & managed to get into a few scrapes. My dad, Herman, ran the Shell service station on Hwy #24. He enjoyed running into Jean at Legion functions. Sending warm thoughts to the family & friends. Am so sorry for your loss.
