PLAS, Joanne – It is with sadness Joanne passed away, yet also comforts the family knowing that she is at peace, passing away at Norview Lodge on Friday November 2, 2018, of Waterford in her 79th year. Beloved wife for 56 years to Herman Plas. Loving mother of Rick (and Tina), Karen (and Gordon) Troughton, Jim (and Tina), Denise (and Dan) Danis, Kim (and John) Shalay. Cherished Oma of 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 1 great grandchild on the way and predeceased by 1 grandson and 1 great grandchild. Joanne will also be sadly missed by many sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Joanne was heavily involved with the community, volunteering for Senior Support, Ladies Auxiliary Legion Branch #123, migrant worker ministry, as well she was an active member of the C.W.L. and Past President. Friends may be received at THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, 62 Main St. N. Waterford on Monday November 5, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9pm, with Parish Prayers in the chapel at 7:00pm. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish, Thompson Rd. W. Waterford on Tuesday November 6, 2018 at 10am. Fr. Alan Dufraimont and Fr. Frank Murph officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to Project Harvest. Following Joanne's wishes the family would like people attending to wear her favourite colour orange.
