Obituary of BETTY LOU RENN

RENN, Betty Lou (nee Burtch) – It is with heavy hearts the family announces the peaceful passing of Betty in palliative care at Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday November 27, 2018, of Scotland at the age of 75. Beloved wife for 52 years to Art Renn. Loving mother of Debbie Renn (and Brett Penny), Scott (and Shelley). Cherished grandma and mamma of Liam, Hannah; Noah, and Owen. Dear sister of Linda (and Richard) Anderson, sisters-in-law Elsie Schneider, and Irene Bragan. Betty will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Betty graduated from The School of Nursing at Brantford General Hospital in 1964 and worked as a Registered Nurse until 1968, when she and her husband Art took over his family farm. She and Art worked together on the farm and Betty devoted her life to her family and the farm. Betty loved to travel and spent many years volunteering at Norfolk General Hospital and at many church functions. Friends may be received at THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford, on Friday December 14, 2018 from 12pm. until service time in the chapel at 2pm. Rev. Barrie Bain officiating. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made by donations to St. James United Church or Brantford General Hospital Palliative Care.
