Obituary of PETER STEFAN SCHIRA

SCHIRA, Peter – Peacefully surrounded by family at Norfolk General Hospital on Thursday March 7, 2019 of Waterford in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Annette (Hare). Much loved father of Dwayne (and Deb), Sherri (and Kevin), Lanny (and Michelle). Proud Grandpa and Papa of Cody (and Kaitlyn), Jakob (and Dana), Wyatt (and Ashley), Brady; Seth, Gemma; Cowan, Shelby-Lin, McKenna, Ridley, Shaylen and great grandchildren Claire, and Colton. Dear brother of John (and Alice), Viola (and Al), Anne (and Malcolm), Nick (and Mary Lynn), and brother-in-law of Mickey (and Ginny), Barb (and Pat), Colleen (and the late Doug). Peter will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Peter was a proud and dedicated member of Waterford Lions Club, Wilson Lodge 123, and Norfolk Shriners. Friends may be received at THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford on Wednesday March 13, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish on Thursday March 14, 2019 at 11am. Fr. Alan Dufraimont officiating. A Masonic Lodge Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 1:30pm and a Waterford Lions Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 6:30pm. As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to Shriners Hospital for Children, or Waterford Camp Trillium.
