Obituary of William Holmes

HOLMES, William John (Jack); Passed away peacefully at the Norview Lodge, Simcoe on Sunday June 16, 2013, in his 80th year. Jack was born on March 15, 1934 in Boston, Ontario, son of the late William H. and E. Alice Holmes. Beloved husband of 34 years of Diane Elizabeth nee Cross. Will be sadly missed by brother-in-law David Cross, sister-in-law Susan Dertinger (Earl), an aunt Edna McCarty and several cousins. Jack was a long time member of Norfolk Golf and Country club. Over the years he had 5 holes-in-one at various courses. He was instrumental in creating the original gun club on 24 highway, and retired from Massey Ferguson in Brantford. Friends are invited to meet with the family at THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME INC., 62 Main St. N. Waterford Ontario for visitations on Wednesday from 1 until funeral service time at 3pm. Rev. Frank Walker officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to Alzheimers Association, or Norview Lodge.
