Dave, Nancy and all the family. Lynnda and I extend to you our deepest sympathy on the passing of your father and grandfather. Yes we know he is at home with his Lord and with your mom. However, I am sure you do feel a terrible loss as it seemed he was always there. Do know you are and will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Mort was in deed a fine gentleman. Always a kind word and a great smile. He was so well known in our community and I am sure many will miss him as the days move along. If it had been regular times, his funeral would have been a huge event in our community as we would have gathered in respect to such a wonderful gentleman. His faith, his work ethic, his everyday speaking and lifting all our spirits. This will all be missed by you and so many.
It was shocking to hear of Mort's passing for sure, but the loss you must feel must be beyond words. So once again our love and prayers for you as a family.
Blessings and God's eternal love and grace.
Lynnda and Allan Burr.

I have only good memories of your dad -- our Mechanic St. neighbour! He was a steady, hard-working man with a great sense of humour. As a kid, I enjoyed his boat rides at the pits during the SS picnics and as an adult, I enjoyed a hug when we ran into each other. Truly a blessing that Waterford will miss. Big hugs to all of you! So disheartened to hear of this news. My most sincere condolences to the family, may he rest in peace. Mort was simply one of those men who always brought calm to a situation, and you not only enjoyed his presence, but was well respected. Perhaps not a man of many words, but his genuine character and good spirit always made a room a brighter place.

On behalf of Andy & Elizabeth Scholten we would like the family to know we send our deepest sympathy to all of you.
He was indeed a caring and sweet man and appreciated his knowledge in his business.
Once and awhile we would see him picking up a coffee and exchange a few words.
He had a way of making you happy to see him with his smile and genuine affection.
R.I.P Mort I'm sure God is glad to have you shake his hand!
