Obituary of Dorothy Berry

BERRY, Dorothy; At the Brantford General Hospital surrounded by her family on Tuesday July 30, 2013 in her 86th year. Loving wife of the late Ralph Berry (2003). Much loved mother of Peter (and Kathy), St. Thomas; Paul (and Pauline), Kitchener; Dan (and Susan), St. Thomas; Melissa (and Steve) McKenzie, Waterford. Cherished Gramma of Sarah, Rhiannon; Leslie, Nolyn; Jamison; Matt, Conar; great grandchildren Evan, and Leah; and missed by Jeff, Kaitlyn, Robert, Adam, Erin and Quinn. Dear sister of Katherine, Alex (and Sally), Frank (and Helen); sister-in-law Joanne (and Jim) Westover, Eileen Beirnes, Judy Beirnes. Predeceased by sister Muriel, brothers James, Joe, John and brother-in-law Harley. Dorothy was an active member of the Waterford UCW and served as head of the Sunday School Program. She made and donated quilts to the Homeless Shelter and babysat children from the area for many years. Dorothy was also an excellent painter, quilter and a very creative artist. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford, Friday 5-8 pm. Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 11 am. Rev. Allan Burr officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to Alzheimers Society.
