Obituary of SHIRLEY MAE PARRINGTON

PARRINGTON, Shirley – Surrounded by the love of her family at Norfolk General Hospital on Wednesday July 29, 2020 of Waterford at the age of 80. Beloved wife for 61 years to Philip. Loving mother of Ellen Parrington, Cindy (and Jeff) Risdill, Lori Parrington, Joe (and Angela) Parrington. Cherished Grammy of Wayne (and Kathleen), Jennifer (and Johnny), Cody, T.J., Amanda (and Xavier), Lindsey and great grandchildren David, Leland, Lily, and Jayden. Loved sister of Ed, Earl (and Leta), Tim (and Heidi) Goodale and brother-in-law Don. Predeceased by sisters Carol (and Laverne), Joyce and sister-in-law Joyce. Shirley will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Friends may be received at THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford on Monday August 3, 2020 from 7-9pm. A Graveside Service will be held at Waterford Greenwood Cemetery on Tuesday August 4, 2020 at 11am. Rev. Allan Burr officiating. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Society. Following the funeral guidelines for Covid-19 masks are required in the funeral home with a maximum of 50 people and a maximum of 100 people attending the graveside service.
