Barbie Lee-Stone posted a condolence

It is with both great sadness, yet genuine joy, that I read of my dear friend Margie MacKenzie slipping quietly, yet surely Home. She was an especially good friend of my Mom's, Ruth Stone but readily became a friend of mine as well, well before Momma's passing and especially after Momma and later Papa too slipped Home.
I am a blend of Lee and Stone and have a heart still filled with my folks and Grandma Lee. I know they're Home, safe and whole, industrious for the Lord, yet filled with a peace and joy, this old world can never imagine, far less give.
Margie was the best listener, when on an odd day, my heart just seemed to brim over. She was a great listener regardless and just loved to hear of what news there was, beyond the confines of her home, especially as her walking became less sure. She could never get enough news, the wholesome kind.
She was a delight. She had a truly dry, fun-loving humour, a home with open doors and a heart that was more precious than gold. Every Christmas, there was never just family sitting at her Christmas feast. There was always someone alone who was invited too.
I can remember slipping over to say "hi" and to just chat for a wee bit. It didn't matter whether the dishes were done, she was still wearing her pajamas and housecoat and/or had curlers in her hair, one was always, always welcome.
As she conversed, she'd put on a fresh pot of coffee and we'd chat and laugh, until it was time to allow her, to move on with her day and we or I with ours or mine.
She loved her family dearly, both immediate and extended and loved to share the latest, cute happening(s) of one or more of her grandchildren. She loved to garden, to preserve fruits and veggies and even made homemade pasta, like in the old country. She just loved company, especially friends.
For some time, she did china painting and I was surprised at how good she got to be. I still have a couple of little items with her precious violets. She loved violets.
Margie was a lady, in that she could hold a confidence, something I've found few can do. She could smile to cheer another, while feeling very low herself. So, I found myself all too often, checking with her, as to how she truly felt in her inner being.
I will miss you dearly Margie. However, joy spreads widely, when I think of you, Momma and even Grandma Lee invited for coffee at your new abode. Save a cup for me hon, for time slips by ever-so quickly and I wish to join in too.
I can already see your group of coffee-ites, with Papa somewhere in the background working on a project for His Lord, yet smiling at the group of you, as you chat and laugh to your hearts' content.
I miss you Marg. Time does fly though and I'm sure I'll see you all, you and those I loved so dearly soon enough. Save an extra coffee mug for me, ok? Thanks.
