Koopman, Cornelus Johannes (Kees-Case-John) February 16, 1927 – August 18, 2021. In his 95th year, after a life well lived, Case passed away peacefully at home. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Wagemaker, his children & their families: Elizabeth & Raymond DePauw, John & Truda Koopman, Karen & Steve Lindsay, Janet & Bill Brunton, Keith & Diane Koopman, Christine & Hyacinth DeAlmedia, together with 18 Grandchildren & 12 Great Grandchildren. Survived by his sister, Catrien Ruyter - Netherlands. Predeceased by siblings, Afra, Jan, Arie - Netherlands. Case was a Military Policeman in the Royal Netherland’s Army stationed in the Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia). He was the only member of his family to immigrate to Canada in 1954. He was a retired employee of Canada Wire & Cable in Simcoe. Retirement gave him the chance to satisfy his keen interest in the world by travelling to many regions and filling his days helping his son at CJ’s Antiques. Friends and family are welcome to visitation at Thompson-Mott Funeral Home Chapel in Waterford on Sunday August 22, 2021 from 6 to 8 pm. COVID-19 restrictions in place. A private family funeral service by invitation will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations of your choice or St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish, c/o 110 Adams Ave- Delhi- ON-N4B 1P7 or the Simcoe Gentleman of Harmony- c/o 71 Yeager Ave-Simcoe- ON- N3Y 5N4 to assist those with speech impediments would be appreciated.
