Obituary of ROBERT WILLIAM MOORE
Please share a memory of ROBERT to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Moore, Robert William - Peacefully after a short but long battle with Muscular Dystrophy, Rob passed in his 51st year on Tuesday December 21, 2021 at Norfolk General Hospital. Rob loved his family Jennifer and Darryl; John and Kelly; Jane and Marco fiercely and was the proud Uncle to Devon, Sarah, Lauren, Brett, Benjamin, and Julia. He will be lovingly remembered by his mom, Ellen and is predeceased by his dad, Kenneth.
Rob had so many loves in his life and kept everyone entertained with stories about the squirrels and birds that he so dearly loved. Rob loved his family adventures to Florida, fishing, hunting camps and being a fierce competitor in local bowling and badminton clubs. Villa Nova has always been kind to Rob and many games were had in the backyard around the pool. Rob loved a good game of Mexican Train with fellow Villa Nova gamer, Heidi Bieri who brought much love, laughter, and light to the home. A year was not complete without Rob planting the master garden and you could only be so lucky to get the Norfolk County Fair award winning potatoes. His beloved cat Randy and dog Brooke were a large part of his life and joy. Randy and Brooke suffered through many games featuring Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Blue Jays, and the Pittsburg Steelers. We are all so very proud of the battle Rob fought but are comforted knowing that he is re-united with dad. No doubt they have connected with many lost pets, friends, family and are already bantering politics. A Celebration of Rob’s Life will be held at a later date. Should you so wish, donations can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Intensive care or Respiratory Therapy at Norfolk General Hospital. Our family is so very thankful for the exceptional care Rob received while a patient at Norfolk General Hospital. Specifically, Dr Nagrani, Dr Kennedy, Respiratory Therapy, and staff in the ICU. Further our family wants to thank our friends, family and community who have supported us through this journey. Funeral arrangements are entrusted with Thompson-Mott Funeral Home, Waterford, 519-443-5332.
