Dear Duane, Dave, Gary, Deb and Families:
It's been a lifetime since I last saw your Mom. I remember her as just a wee girl, as I played quietly out of the way, at the Women's Institute Meetings.
She may have been involved in 4H as well, although I'm not certain. She seemed an industrious lady in all she undertook, including the Pancake House. That must have totally exhausted her!
For many years our family lived on the north side of the Old 24 Hwy across the fields from you, while you were growing up and attending school as well.
I was actually in school with Duane and Dave. Duane may even have been in my grade 13 physics class. I've only seen Duane, as well as Dave and his wife since but wished to send my condolences to you all.
Your Mom was aged but no matter what our parent's age or condition at death, we always miss them and have the memories of our life shared with them to carry with us, as time passes for us all.
Those were good years growing up in the country, weren't they?! Although, I haven't forgotten when your Grandad Bill Watt cleaned out his pig barn! Those were times we prayed the wind would blow from the west, north-west or even south-west, until the stench finally died down! That's one memory never forgotten! There has to be at least one such memory in the cascade of others, eh?!
Thinking most sincerely of the four of you and your families at this time.
Barb Lee-Stone.

Ny deepest condolences to you Deb and your entire family on the loss of your wonderful mom. She was an incredible lady whom I thought the world of. Her and my mom (late Marie Gamble) spent a lot of time on little adventures and they always had some fun times together. Deepest sympathy to the family of this wonderful lady. My Father was in Nhnh and I visited regularly and was his caregiver. I spoke with Eleanor on many occasions. Your Mother touched my sisters and I deeply when she visited us in the palliative room in July and sang a hymn to him along with her goodbyes). It was amazing and something I will never forget.
