SARACUSE, Pauline: Surrounded by the love of her family, Pauline passed away peacefully on Saturday September 14, 2013 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late George Saracuse. Loving mother of Elwood ( and Annette), Carma Beerepoot (and Scott Allgood), Lawrence (and June), Jeff (and Sheryl). Cherished Oma of Michelle (and Jason); Joshua (and Tara), Janine (and Chad), Brook, Emma; Tara (and Steve), Taylor; Jacquelyn, Skyler and great grandchildren Grey, Maple; Hayden, and Harlow. Dear sister of Doug (and Myrtle) Smith, Ken (and Joanne) Smith, and Claire (and Gertrude) Smith. Pauline was also adored by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Helen Hare, and Lela Cherwaty. Pauline was born in Vittoria, and in 1949 she married George and started their years in business together first owning the Villa Nova General Store, then Hotel Saracuse and Saracuse Pools. Pauline was a member of Waterford and Simcoe Anglican Churches, Norfolk General Hospital Auxiliary, and Waterford Lioness Club. Living most of her years in Waterford, Pauline moved to Simcoe 15 years ago. Pauline was always the consummate hostess, entertaining family, friends, neighbours and strangers alike. Everyone was welcome at her table. She loved to sing and dance. Family was priority # 1. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford Thursday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel Friday at 2:30pm. Rev. Tim Dobbin officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. As expression of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to Norfolk General Hospital.
