Obituary of LES STYS

STYS, Leslaw (Les) - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Les, of Oakland on Friday May 13, 2022, at the age of 65. Beloved husband of Jenny (Vanderlee). Loving father of Jason (and Michelle), Shawn (and Brittany), Julie (and Derek) VanHeugten. Proud Jagu of Ethan, Ella, Emma and Arie. Dear brother and brother-in-law of John (and Wies), Stanley (and Christine), Barbara (and the late Geoffrey) Geoghegan, Karen (and Terry) Shillington, Diana (and Mike) Trembley, the late Theo (and Laurie) Vanderlee, Gerry (and Kelly) Vanderlee. “Favourite son-in-law” of Tena and the late Adrian Vanderlee. Predeceased by parents Stanley and Anna Stys. Les will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Les’s motto was ‘Work Hard, Play Hard.” He loved motocross, drag racing, hockey, baseball, hunting, fishing and so much more. He was a family man. He was always up to do anything if it meant he got to spend time with his family and friends. He is going to be missed beyond measure. A celebration of Les’s life will be held Saturday May 28, 2022, Open House from 2-8pm at 23 Maple Ave. South, Scotland.
