Obituary of RONNA JEAN SHVED
As we look forward to summer with the anticipation of warm weather and gatherings around the pool, we are grieving the loss of the matriarch of our family. We will miss her presence in our lives.
Ronna was a Life Member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 123, Waterford. She loved BINGO, and spent her free time reading books, playing games on the computer, or just enjoying sitting outdoors under the gazebo. She also loved a good game of poker with the guys.
Ronna was pre-deceased by her husband Frank Shved (2003). Ronna was a beloved mother to four children Judy Dearden (Jim), Jackie Francis (William), Edward Arnold (Mary Ann), and Frankie (Missy). She will live in the memories of her nine grandchildren Louanne, James and Michael Dearden, James Daniel Mitchell, Kristina Martin, Adryan Francis, Kayla, Crystal, and FJ Shved, and her five great grandchildren Justin, JJ, Benjamin, Bently, and Braydon. Waiting in heaven is great grandchildren - twins Isabella and Adrianna (2017) as well as Emmett (2018).
She is survived by sister Joan Cain and pre-deceased by her sister Ruth (2022) and her parents Nile Trickett (1978) and Lenore Price (2005).
Ronna worked for approximately 35 years as a bus driver and many years at the Norfolk Fruit growers (cherry plant).
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Thompson Mott Funeral Home, Waterford 519-443-5332. Visitations will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Legion Auxiliary service will take place at 6:45pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday July 26, 2022, at 11am. Interment at Waterford Greenwood Cemetery to follow.
