Obituary of OLGA MAKODANSKI

Mrs. Olga Makodanski, formerly of Waterford, passed away peacefully at Norview Lodge on Saturday, February 4, 2023 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife to Michael for 71 years and loving mother to Linda Csubak (Joe) and Cathy Martin (John). Cherished grandma to Amy Torok (Peter), Jessica Moro (Greg), Justin Martin (Bernadette), Alicia Ross (Brendan), Paige McInally (Jordan) and precious great grandma to Oliver, Addison, Colten, Callie, Ethan, Ella, Oaklyn, Bowie, Rhodes, Aubree and Hayden. Olga will also be missed by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents Wasyl and Anna Krelaty, siblings Mary, Ann, Victoria, Joe, Fred, Sydney and Nick. Olga’s passion of music was evident with her beautiful voice of song, playing her mandolin and taking up piano lessons in her retirement years. She took great pride in her crocheting and collecting newspaper articles of her children and grandchildren. She was an avid bookkeeper keeping her home in order and enjoyed volunteering for the Norfolk General Hospital. Family and friends will be received at Thompson-Mott Funeral Home, Waterford, on Thursday February 9, 2023 with visitation at 10:30 followed by the service in the chapel at 12pm. Rev. Susan Zakamarko officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery.
