Obituary of LUCY TITANNA HALYK

HALYK, Lucy Titanna – Surrounded by her family at her residence in Simcoe, on Friday June 30, 2023, at the age of 87.  Beloved wife for 68 years to Ken Halyk.  Loving and devoted mother of Kim (and Kathy), Annamarie (and Ray) Chambers, Susan Guy, Judy (and Wray) Willson, and mother-in-law of Peter Millar, Michele Halyk, and Linda Horeth.  Cherished Baba of Cody, Victoria, Rebecca, Courtney, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Brodie, Nolan, Emma, Richele, Micheal, and 16 great grandchildren.  Lucy will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.  Predeceased by daughter Karen Millar, sons Rick and Nathan, parents Peter and Marie Letwin, stepfather Thomas Switalsky, brother Bordon Letwin, sisters Olga Herechuk, and Sylvia Chunik.  Family and friends will be received Tuesday July 4, 2023, at Thompson-Mott Funeral Home, Waterford from 4-6pm with Panachyda at 5:30pm.  Funeral Service will be held in the chapel Wednesday July 5, 2023, at 10am.  Fr. Gregory Mielnik officiating.  Interment Greenwood Cemetery.   As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral.
