Obituary of LOUIS LEON DEBONO

DEBONO, Louis Sr. – Peacefully With his loving wife Lidia by his side, at Norfolk General Hospital on Sunday July 16, 2023, of Waterford, at the age of 87.  Loved father of Dorothy (and David) Glaves, Marie (and Paul) Steiner, Edward, Louis, Victor, and Bernie.  Proud grandpa of Benjamin, Julia, Paul Louis (and Lisa), Nicholas, Martine, Stasha (and Shawn), Ashenza, Francesca (and Corbin), and great grandchildren Jett, Chase, Ayla, Casey, Lucca, and Koen.  Dear brother of Fr. Edward Debono, and brother-in-law Victor (and Maria) Ricci.  Louis will also be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.  Predeceased by brothers Albert, Carmen, sisters Cecilia, and Dorothy.  Louis with his wife Lidia were founders of Debono Greenhouses and Garden Centre, and Norfolk Disposal.  Family and friends will be received at Thompson-Mott Funeral Home, Waterford on Friday July 28, 2023, from 2-4 and 7-9pm.  Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish on Saturday July 29, 2023, at 11am.  Fr. Edward Debono officiating.  Interment Greenwood Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association, or Norfolk General Hospital.
