Obituary of MICHAEL MAKODANSKI

MAKODANSKI, Michael – of Waterford passed away peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital, Monday July 24, 2023, in his 97^th year.  Beloved husband to the late Olga (Krelaty) for 71 years.  Loving father to Linda (and Joe) Csubak, Cathy (and John) Martin.  Cherished grandpa to Amy (and Peter) Torok, Jessica (and Greg) Moro, Justin (and Bernadette) Martin, Alicia (and Brendan) Ross, Paige (and Jordan) McInally, and precious great grandpa to Oliver, Addison, Colten, Callie, Ethan, Ella, Oaklyn, Bowie, Rhodes, Aubree, and Hayden.  Michael will also be missed by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.  Predeceased by his parents Martin and Anna (Furgal), siblings Nancy (and Peter) Leckay and Tony (and Alice) Makodanski.  Michael enjoyed his gardens.  The fruits of his labours were shared with neighbours, friends, family, and even strangers.  Michael’s passion of golf was evident with the countless hours spent practicing his drives on the high school fields.  Michael golfed at Greens of Renton, and Springview Golf Course, always walking the course.  Family and friends will be received at Thompson-Mott Funeral Home, Waterford on Friday July 28^th, 2023, with visitation at 10am followed by the service at 11:30am.  Interment Greenwood Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, those wishing may donate to Sick Kids Foundation or Waterford Camp Trillium.
