So sorry for your huge loss. Your Mom was my friend for over 47 years. We went in and out of each others lives, sharing all, good and bad. Of all the things I admired about her, it would be her force of life. She never gave up, never quit believing and worked against the odds for the betterment of her family. She struggled to finish her schooling to be able to get a better job. She asked me to help tutor her and it was my privilege. Throughout her struggles with her health and many operations she never gave up. When doctors weren’t giving her much chance at recovery she proved them wrong. A few years ago she wanted to help us with the maple syrup and came out to collect sap. She enjoyed herself so much that she came back everyday for 2 weeks to help. It was not easy for her to walk on the uneven ground of the woods and carry buckets of sap that are heavy but she loved every moment. Just before Christmas she called and asked if Mark was going to do maple syrup this March. She said she was going to find a way to come over to help even if it was to keep Mark company in the barn! That was Pearl, never feeling sorry for herself and looking forward. I will sure miss her! Here are a few photos of that time. I thought you would enjoy them.
Love,
Candy and Mark Stevens

Dear Pearl,
We will never forget you and your smile you brought into our live.
The first time we met you and All in Cuba at the lunch table which changed Aletta her live in the positive way what a blessing you both are.
The trip we made together to Mexico at Los Cabos was also a fun week and we still think back to this time it was great thank you for that also.
We didn’t see you enough as we may have wished but if we did it was just like we visited yesterday never boring lots of stories to tell.
May God look well after you and we will see each other again in our next live.
Aletta & Jurjen
