Obituary of BILL MOREY

William (Bill) Norman Morey – With heavy hearts the family announces the peaceful passing of Bill, surrounded by his loving family at home in Waterford on Wednesday February 14, 2024, at the age of 83.  A loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, leaving behind his wife Fran of nearly 60 years, two sons and their wives John and D’Arcy,  Steve and Marcia, 5 grandchildren Emily, Hannah, Kate, Frank, and Jessie, and his sister Dianne.  Bill will also be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.  Predeceased by brothers Jim and Dave.  Bill moved to Waterford in 1978 where he worked for 18 years as Postmaster and enjoyed 28 years of retirement.  A talented athlete cut short by arthritis to become an armchair enthusiast.  He loved the Toronto Blue Jays and never missed a game.  Bill spent hours playing sports in the backyard with his two sons.  Bill enjoyed spending summers at Sherkston Shores and loved driving the golf cart around the resort.  Bill loved family get togethers and his grandchildren were the joy of his live.  Family and friends are welcome to a Casual Gathering to share memories of Bill on Saturday February 24, 2024, at Thompson-Mott Funeral Home, Waterford from 1-4pm.  As expressions of sympathy donations in memory of Bill may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
