Obituary of BARBARA ANN LYDON

LYDON, Barbara (Bracken): It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of our unforgettable Barbara in her 81st year, of Simcoe, formerly Montreal, on Monday June 3, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Donald Lydon. Loving mother of Brian (the late Sandra), Brenda (Franco), Donna, and Donny (Melissa). Proud Nanny of Matthew (Amanda) and Michael (Katie); Brent and Bradley; Meagan (Mat), Erica (Jamie), and Tyler (Jhonna); Neyden and Mason. Survived by her great grandchildren Nash, Locklan, Carter, Evelyn, and Brooks. She will be lovingly remembered by her best friend, Leila, and second family at Simcoe Heritage House, in which she received exceptional care by the entire team. Barbara had a larger-than-life presence. She loved a good meal, matched every outfit by colour and knew all the words to every Blue Rodeo song. Her family will forever treasure the immeasurable impact that she left on our lives. Following Barbara's wishes the family will be gathering privately to celebrate her life. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
