Obituary of TOM HAGGITH

HAGGITH, Tom – With family and friends by his side at his residence in Waterford on Thursday August 8, 2024 at the age of 73.  Dedicated husband for 48 years to Mary Lu (Miller).  Loved father of Eric (and Annette Oya), Katie (and Bradley) Good.  Proud grandpa of Erik, Lily, Josh, Sophia, Hazel, and Ferris.  Dear brother of John (and Mirella), and Jeff Haggith, Gerald (and Cathy), Ken and Ed (and Georgina) Drinkwater.  Tom will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Predeceased by brothers Gene, Donnie, and Richard Haggith, and sister Linda Drinkwater.  Tom enjoyed travelling with his beloved wife Mary Lu all over the world.  After their retirement they spent their winters in Peurto Vallarta, Mexico.  Tom will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet demeanor and his witty sense of humour.  Tom never missed his Ontario grandkids sporting event.  Tom also spent quality time in B.C. with his “western” grandchildren, walking beaches and trails with them.  Tom appreciated the time he spent with all of his grandchildren. Thank you for the wonderful care by the doctors and nurses at Norfolk General Hospital Emergency and ICU.  Special thanks to Dr. Nia for his compassionate care of Tom.  Thank you to nurse Bailey of CBI for her care and compassion at home.  Please join the family on Sunday August 18^th 2024 at the Simcoe Royal Canadian Legion Br.#79 from 1-4pm.  As expressions of sympathy, those wishing to may donate to the Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice.
