Obituary of ROBERT EDMOND SALEMBIER

SALEMBIER, Robert Edmond (Bob) – As a result of a fall at home, the family announces with heavy hearts the passing of Bob on Sunday December 29, 2024, of Waterford at the age of 76.  Much loved husband for 53 years to Susan (Dredge).  Loving father of Hosanna, Paul (and Amber).  Proud Papa of Braydon, Joshua, and Charlie.  Dear brother and brother-in-law of Nancy Horning, Mary (and Joe) Hurkens, Steve Kochany, and Cindy Vidler.  Bob will also be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Predeceased by parents Edmond and Laura Salembier, sister Shirley Kochany, brother-in-law Bob Horning, Susan’s parents Bill and Bev Dredge, and Susan’s brother Scott Dredge.  Bob was busy, stubborn and always did things his way, right to the end.  Following Bob’s request, the family would like those attending to come wearing casual clothing.  Friends and family will be received at Thompson-Mott Funeral Home, Waterford on Friday January 3, 2025, from 12:30pm until service time in the chapel at 1:30pm.  Pastor Jim Rowbottom officiating.  Interment Waterford Greenwood Cemetery.  Bob wasn’t much for flowers and would rather a donation be made in his memory to Simcoe and District Humane Society.  “Those we love don’t go away.  They live in our hearts everyday”.
