Toms, Pauline (Mels): Passed away peacefully at her home in Waterford, Ontario, surrounded by her family, following a long battle with cancer, on Wednesday August 11, 2004 in her 60th year. Beloved wife of John. Loving Mother of Michelle (Mark) Pender, Paris; Wendy (Shawn) Bridgett, Norwich. Cherished Grandmother of Cody & Ashley Pender, Courtney and Cory Bridgett. Sister of Marcel (Ruth Ann) Mels, Scotland; Alfons (Josie) Mels, Vanessa; Albert (Sandy) Mels, Waterford; daughter-in-law of Edith Toms, Beddeck, Nova Scotia; sister-in-law of Shane (Kaye) Toms, Nova Scotia; Carol Ann (Doug) Smith, Harley. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; special friend Ruth Anne Massecar and canine friend Sophie, and extended families in Nova Scotia and P.E.I Predeceased by parents Ben and Marie Mels, father-in-law John E. Sr., sister-in-law Ethel Mels, and niece Alicia Toms. Pauline was a special Nanny tomany children in the area. She was a former member of the Lioness Clubs of Paris and Burford. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford, Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of a Christian Burial on Saturday at 10am at St. Bernard's Church Waterford. Fr. Dikran Islemeci officiating. Interment Greenwook Cemetery. Parish prayers Friday evening at 6:30pm. Donations to Camp Trillium, Norfolk VON, or Norfolk General Hospital CT Scan would be appreciated by the family.
