Obituary of Harry Sarafinchin

SARAFINCHIN, Harry: Peacefully at the Norfolk General Hospital on Monday August 8, 2005 of Simcoe at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of Evelyn (Gabor) and predeceased by his first wife Olga (Woynarski) 1959. Dear father of Murray, Toronto; and Dan, Simcoe. Loving grandfather of Jonathan, Ashley and Terryn. Brother of Sheila Davies, Fonthill; Anne Onyskiw, Toronto. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Sam, Eli, Nick, Steve and Kost; & sisters Eva, Pauline and Tina. Harry was a veteran of World War II, landed on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day, returning after the war to grow tobacco in the Waterford and Simcoe areas. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, WATERFORD on Wed. 2-4 & 7-9pm. Service in the chapel on Thurs. at 11am. Rev. Allan Burr officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations to Waterford Camp Trillium/Rainbow Lake or to your favourite charity would be appreciated by the family. Legion service on Wed. evening at 6:30pm.
