Erika & Karin, we are so sorry to read in the Spectator of the loss of your Mother. Please accept our sincere sympathies. You may recall Carol from your visits to Bank of Montreal in Burlington, and I worked with your Dad in Montreal & Toronto. Unfortunately, we had lost contact with your Mother since she moved from Burlington.

There are many people who come in and out of our lives without leaving an impact on us...Then there are those very few like Frieda. From the moment we built our house on the lot next to hers, she made us feel welcome. She had a warmth and light about her that can't be described...only felt. She was quick to laugh, loved a good debate (she usually won), wise and incredibly self-less and humble. Frieda & her family quickly became more than our neighbours. When Terry & I were with her it felt like home. Frieda's passing has left a great emptiness that only extraordinarily special people leave when they must go. Her presence in our lives can only be described one way....A Gift!! When I look out my kitchen window at 10am and 2pm (and I will continue to do so!), or on a warm summer day when I look out at that front step, I will smile and remember. Thankyou Oma!!! I will miss you terribly!

I've thought of the family often. We were good friends and neighbours on Sandringham, in Burlington. We had lots of get togethers and so many laughs. Michelle and Jodi were friends with Erika and Karin. We had a great friendly street. My thoughts and prayers go out to the girls. Miss you all. Never forgotten, always remembered, Helen (Sweet)

I worked with Frieda, Erika and Karin at Rehau Industries in the late 80's-early 90's. She was a person that stood out from the others and although I had not seen her or her daughters since working at Rehau she made an impression and will not be forgotten. My thoughts are with Erika and Karin at this time of their loss.

I remember Frieda from Burlington, when we were friends and neighbours. My family lived only a few doors down from the Tecihmanns. Frank and I knew her husband Karl, and of course, her 2 daughters. My daughter, Darlene was a friend of Karin and are the same age. I had coffee with Frieda almost everyday for quite a long period of time, and we played cards (Rumoli) each week with the other ladies on the street. Unfortunately, we didnt see much of each other, when I moved up the road to Waterdown after 7 yrs on Sandringham. Never forgotten, always remembered, with affection and admiration. I enjoyed her company and we got along great. Wishing the family loving memories of their special Mum, Doreen and Frank Burgess
